Crow Calls Logo

All Allen Weidhaas crow calls function and could actually be used as an "in the field" working call. These calls are of heirloom quality with impeccable detail and care given to each one. It would be hoped that they would be recognized for what they are, a piece of art or fine art sculpture that functions and will be cherished for generations to come as a fine collectible. Allen Weidhaas calls are original designs developed by the artist and are therefore copyrighted. All items in this catalog are by special order only. The calls are numbered and signed on the inside of the tone boards.

Allen Carving Thumbnail Note from Allen: I carve and shape all of my calls by hand. There is no lathe work involved. In fact, I don't even own a lathe at this time. I frequently use a Fordom rotary hand tool with burrs and a burning pen to achieve minute detail. The tone boards are hand carved and shaped and I use hand cut brass reeds. I like to use American hardwood and my favorite is butternut. For me, there is something about our American hardwoods like cherry, walnut, chestnut, and butternut, etc., that conjure up that special feeling of our early sporting heritage. The calls are available by commission or special order only. Each call is made one at a time and in the order in which the request was recieved. There is a waiting list.
